Besides the Brooklyn Half-Marathon this Saturday, there are a few other (albeit shorter distance) running events going on in New York City this weekend. On Sunday at 8:30 am in Central Park is the NYRR Police-Fire Race, which is a 5 miler that is only open to active or retired NYPD or NYFD personnel, their family and friends. Also on Sunday is Van Cortlandt Track Club’s Urban Environmental Challenge, a 10K trail race in the Bronx, which takes place at 10:00 am. And finally, The Third Annual New York Relays (PDF) will be going on throughout the day on Sunday in Icahn Stadium on Randall’s Island.
Today is the last day to mail in your entry form for Van Cortlandt Track Club’s Urban Environmental Challenge 10K trail race in the Bronx. Active.com registration will be open until tomorrow night. Race day registration is $20.
Next Sunday, April 15th at 10:00 am is Van Cortlandt Track Club’s Urban Environmental Challenge, which is a “taxing” 10K trail race in the Bronx.
