Pricing for the 2009 NYC Half Marathon?

With registration for the NYC Half Marathon approaching, NYRR has not yet officially released the pricing for the race.  However, an anonymous reader has provided the following information about the NYC Half fees.  This information should be treated as an unverified rumor:

NYRR Members: $65
Non-Members Domestic: $70
Non-Members International: $70

This better have an AWESOME “goodie bag” but they can do this because the demand to do the race is SOOOO high. I bet it sells out in less than 2 weeks!

    In 2008, the prices were:
    NYRR Members: US $65
    Non-Members Domestic: US $75
    Non-Members International: US $100

This was in addition to the $5 fee to enter the lottery, which obviously won’t be charged this year.

What about pre-qualifying? I have heard that in the past, runners who completed the prior year’s Half-Marathon Grand Prix races were gained an automatic entry.

There might be guaranteed entry through time qualifications similar to previous years, but I wouldn’t expect the Grand Prix guaranteed entry. If I recall correctly they did that just once, I think in 2006 (maybe it was 2007), but they never did it again.
