The Tug McGraw Foundation Invited as NYCM Charity Partner
The Tug McGraw Foundation, founded to enhance the quality of life of children and adults with brain tumors, has been invited to be a charity partner for the 2007 ING New York City Marathon. Those runners who choose to participate in fund raising for this charity are eligible for guaranteed entry into the marathon. Members of TMF Honorary Chairman Tim McGraw’s band, the Dancehall Doctors, will be among those running for the Foundation.
Each TMF runner will honor a specific brain tumor patient to raise awareness for this disease. Dancehall Doctor Jeff McMahon will run in memory of Hannah Uhrmacher, a little girl who changed peoples’ lives with her “Ya Gotta Believe” attitude. Bandmate Dean Brown is running for Evan Sanka, a one-year old fighting a Hypothalamic Hamartoma (HH) brain tumor.
