Sunday: Scotland Run 10K
This Sunday at 10:00am in Central Park is the Scotland Run 10K. NYRR has uploaded a PDF map of the course, which starts on the West Drive near 62nd Street and ends on the West Drive near Tavern on the Green, making a clockwise loop of the park. Currently, The National Weather Service is predicting clouds and a high for the day in the low 50’s, with the rain holding off until the afternoon. Following the race, bagpipers and drummers will be on hand to entertain the crowd during the awards ceremony. There will also be a raffle for, among other Scotland-themed prizes, two entries to the Loch Ness Marathon and Festival of Running. Be sure to check out the other events that are going on during Tartan Week, which lasts from March 31st to April 8th. Also be aware that also in Central Park on Sunday morning is New York Triathlon Club’s 21st Annual March Madness Biathlon, which starts and finishes on the East Drive near the Central Park Boathouse. The Biathlon starts at 7:30 am and ends at 9:30 am.
